The Snowbasin Town Challenge is a fun and social ski-racing league with a competitive spirit and a little trash talk. Teams consisting of 4 to 6 members will compete against other teams in a series of 3 races. Only the top 4 skiers on each team score but scoring has been designed to give even novice racers the ability to earn a high score and help their team win the series.

We will have music, a live announcer, raffles, and GRAND PRIZES. Racers have the opportunity to qualify for Nastar Nationals.

Scoring

For the team score, your race time will give you an overall place. Based on your overall place, you will score between 100 to 1 points. Each racer will be assigned points descending from 100-1, beginning with 100 for 1st place, the points will descend every 10 places and then restart. A racer finishing 11th, 21st, 31st, 41st would all score 100 points, the same as the first place racer. The series is designed to give all team members of all abilities the opportunity to score for their team. The top 4-point scoring racers on your team will be used for your team’s race day score. All three-race series points will be added together for the final results. Should any two teams tie, the 5th team member’s points will be used, or they can elect to arm wrestle. Results will be posted shortly after each race and show each individual their raw or real-time and overall place (fastest to slowest), a Nastar handicapped time, and their team score. Results can also be viewed immediately on www.livetiming.com
