Races
U14 athletes are encouraged to compete in 10-20 race days per winter. Athletes, with the assistance of our SSEF Program Director & Coaching Staff, will have the ability to customize their alpine race experience to their individual skill & desired commitment level.
U14 ~ IMD Series Race Plan is designed for our 5 days/wk full time participants that have had prior success in the South Series.
Notes:
Click here to see the LIVE Intermountain Division Race Schedule
At this age, athletes have the choice to travel with the team (as van spots allow) or be accompanied by a parent/guardian in order to travel to races. The choice to travel to races is up to each individual and is not a prerequisite for participation in the program.
Second year U14s are eligible to participate in OPEN races.
First year U14s and/or Second year U14s can be selected or eligible to participate in special Regional “Project” events.
For U14s, there is also the possibility of being on the IMD South Series Ski Team instead of the U14 Qualifiers based on the coaches recommendations and if they have greater than 300+ national points.
Speed events (SG) will be gender split races. Consult your coach for more details to ensure what days each gender will be skiing
All race details will be updated and communicated via TeamSnap.
* Sean Nurse, Wes Barron & Snowcup – Intermountain Cup Open Series – 2nd year U14’s only
