ALL MOUNTAIN RIPPERS (AMR)
NEW FOR 2024-25, our All Mountain Rippers (AMR) Program is an introductory competitive team for ages 8-10. It has both an alpine and freeride focus, while continuing to elevate the fundamental skills necessary for whatever competitive path the athlete might choose moving forward. AMR is intended for athletes with 2-4 years experience in skiing. It is a one to two year program that allows athletes to acquire enough fundamental skills & experience to determine if their favorite competitive path forward will be Alpine or Freeride.
For training purposes, athletes will usually be arranged in groups of approximately 5-7 per coach to facilitate a productive learning environment. Groups are dynamic but are generally based on skill, speed and social needs. Included in the program cost is a Snowbasin Ski Team Jacket, 8 Weeks of Pre-Season Dryland Training (Sept-Nov) and a Holiday Camp.
Athlete Age: 8–10 (Birth Years: 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017 with program approval) The AMR program is intended for athletes that have been through our Devo/Devo+ programs & have a coach recommendation to progress to Alpine. Any athlete not meeting this criteria should email admin@snowbasinskiteam.org to discuss program placement.
