The Snowbasin Ski Team Devo Program is a comprehensive all mountain curriculum that emphasizes the fundamental skills of skiing.  Most athletes joining the Devo program have experience skiing with their families or have completed resort ski school programs such as Learn and Earn or resort seasonal programs like Future Busters, Little Busters or Basin Busters.  Athletes must be comfortable skiing terrain off Wildcat Express Chairlift, be able to manage their own equipment both on and off hill and able to load and unload the chairlift independently or ask for assistance.

Athletes can join this program between the ages of 5-15 to gain fundamental skills in a non-competitive team environment. (Must be 5 by Dec 31st.)  Devo athletes are grouped for ability and social compatibility, which range from our beginner to intermediate and advanced levels.  The Devo program includes two home alpine races and end of season SkillsQuest Assessment in addition to Coach recommendations for follow-on advancement within the Snowbasin Ski Team Programs.

With coach/program recommendation, an athlete may be selected to participate in the Devo+ program, which includes both on & off piste skiing as well increased exposure to alpine ski racing and freeride skiing in particular.  Devo+ athletes have the option of adding Holiday Camp training, higher level alpine races and an at home freeride competition.

DEVO Mini

This is the earliest age for Snowbasin Ski Team blossoming skiers to move beyond single group or private lessons to a curriculum lead 12-week development program with a team focus and multiple development based groups.

Ages: 5-6 years old (Must be 5 years old by Dec 31st.)

Birth years: 2019 - 2020

Days on snow: 12, Saturday mornings only

Season: Dec-March

DEVO

The place where foundational skills development moves into higher levels of expectation and abilities. Within the Devo program, teams are created based on appropriate age and development. Currently we have 30 different teams covering both Saturday and Sunday, allowing us to best fit each athlete.

Ages: 6-12 years old

Birth years: 2013 - 2019

Days on snow: 12, Available Saturday or Sunday

Season: Dec-March

Optional Additions:  5 Friday Showboat sessions, December Holiday camp, YSL Finals alpine race and/or inhouse freeride competition with Coach/Program Recommendation

DEVO+

A coach recommended program that serves to put the finishing touches on foundational skills development before moving onto the next levels of our ski team. Devo+ athletes will ski a wider variety of terrain including more difficult areas of the mountain at a faster pace, all meant to build the confidence of our teammates.

Ages: 8-12 years old

Birth years: 2017 - 2013

Days on snow: 12,  Available Saturday or Sunday

Season: Dec-March

Optional Additions:  5 Friday Showboat sessions, December Holiday camp, YSL Finals alpine race and/or inhouse freeride competition with Coach/Program Recommendation
