Is your athlete ready for the Snowbasin Ski Team?
Saturday, March 29, 2025
SkillsQuest is a training/evaluation system that helps develop solid fundamentals to create great skiers. It can also be used for fitness, race development or as an assessment tool to measure an athlete's skiing skills. It provides a more objective-based measurement of skills, which can be tracked over time. Mikaela Shiffrin is a SkillsQuest athlete.
SkillsQuest is comprised of a progressive set of drills covering each of the major fundamental skills of skiing such as balance, edging, rotary, and pressure (B.E.R.P.) that are appropriate based on age and experience in the sport.
The Snowbasin Ski Team uses SkillsQuest as a tool to help create our teams for the next seasonal year. This year's SkillsQuest day will be Saturday, March 29, 2025. Check in 8:15am. This is for athletes that would be new to the team in '25/26 or current Devo Minis wanting to graduate into the Devo Program.
(Note: Current Devo athletes were SkillsQuest assessed on Saturday, January 18th or Sunday, January 19th. There is no need for our current Devo athletes to register for this event)
If you know of a child's friend or classmate that has shown an interest in joining our Ski Team Family, please let them know that they need to register for this event. If you have another child in your family that has not yet joined the ski team, we would love to have you register them so we can get a firm grasp of their current skill level.
Registration is required.
COST: $45 fee for those looking to be evaluated for team placement next season.
