Youth Ski League (YSL)
Our Youth Ski League (YSL) Program is an introductory competitive team for ages 8-11 (birth years 2014-2017.) It is intended to polish fundamental skiing skills in varied terrain and snow conditions as well as ski racing techniques to young skiers. AMR is intended for athletes with 2-4 years experience in skiing. Most athletes have successfully completed our Devo training and are ready for the next step in skills development and have a desire for alpine competition.
For training purposes, athletes will usually be arranged in groups of approximately 5-7 per coach to facilitate a productive learning environment. Groups are dynamic but are generally based on skill, speed and social needs. Included in the program cost is a Snowbasin Ski Team Jacket, 8 Weeks of Pre-Season Dryland Training (Sept-Nov) and a Holiday Camp.
Athlete Age: 8–10 (Birth Years: 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017; 2018s can request a program waiver) The YSL program is intended for athletes that have been through our Devo/Devo+ programs & have a coach recommendation to progress to Alpine. Any athlete not meeting this criteria should email admin@snowbasinskiteam.org to discuss program placement.
